The Passionate Eye
Burning with desire
Reaching through the
turmoil
Holding onto threads of
Justice, Hope, Love.
Yet grasping onto greed,
Lust, and Avarice.
Opposites still at work.
The passion reaches for
all of one and all of the other.
No holding back, the full
spectrum avails itself
When the passionate eye
burns with desire.
Prayer for mercy and hope
for compassion
Becomes the necessary
response.
For we are all one and the
same in the swirling vortex of need.
Judge not, for therefore
unto you, it shall be done.
But rather, be merciful
and compassionate unto your brethren
Upholding one another in
these challenging times.
